Will
I grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma. At the young age of 12, I had my first encounter with the Oklahoma Justice system. Weed and alcohol has been a tyrant in my life, along with heroin and methamphetamines. The path I took led me to prison, which was one of the best things to ever happened to me. You'd think that a person would regret going to prison, but it was there that I met Jesus-The way, the truth and the light. After incarceration I had nowhere to go. God kept telling me go to Tahlequah. I listened to the direction of the Holy Spirit and landed in The Wings of Tahlequah. The respect and love that I was shown by Josh, Ginger, Isaac, Tony and Ann made me feel at home-Something I hadn't felt since I was a child. The services that are held are led by no other than the Holy Spirit, every time we had service I connected to God. I was invited to join the amazing praise and worship team. (Who by the way are wonderful and anointed). I can say this program not only changed my life and future, but also showed me how to have a relationship with our Father in heaven, how to praise him, how to worship him, how to give back to the community and how to love our fellow brothers and sisters. There was no class on this. They showed me through there actions, through the way they live and the way they love. After being incarcerated, life was strange. Here I truly felt genuine love. I was accepted as one of the community immediately. There are resources I needed and received through Wings of Tahlequah and ZRS ministries. Before my time at the program was up, I learned how to appreciate a life with God and how to be a true leader. I thank everyone involved in the ministries at ZRS and I thank God for the love that is shown through the staff.
